Warranty
Terms vary by model. BLUETTI's Canadian warranty page gives 24–72 months for portable power stations and 48–60 months for home backup systems. An undated BLUETTI warranty table hosted by Home Depot lists 120 months (10 years) for the EP600/EP760/EP800/EP900, 48 months for the AC500, AC300 and B300/B300S/B500, and 60 months for the EP500/EP500Pro. The EP800 product page also states 10 years plus lifetime service. No published warranty length was found for the Apex 300 or B300K/B500K; the Apex 300 page mentions only a 'Global Warranty' and the term is on the in-box warranty card. Coverage needs proof of purchase from an official store, is limited to the country of purchase, and excludes damage from excessive heat or cold, unauthorized resellers and normal wear. No capacity-retention terms are published.
Altitude
No altitude rating is published. The Apex 300 manual gives only a general caution: 'Handle the product with caution in low air pressure environments to prevent explosions or leaks.'
Cold weather
Apex 300 manual: charge 0 to 40°C (32–104°F), discharge -20 to 40°C (-4 to 104°F). The manual's storage figures disagree (-20 to 40°C in the spec table, -10 to 40°C in the maintenance section). It does not mention self-heating. EP800: operating range -20 to 40°C. The page prints '4°F', which appears to be a typo for -4°F. The EP800 page also advertises 'Self Heating Technology' without giving details.
Monitoring and the app
BLUETTI app with remote access and energy statistics. On the Apex 300, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are switched on from the unit's buttons or the app, and advanced settings need the app. BLUETTI does not say whether Bluetooth control works without internet.
Recalls
We found no U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recalls of this brand’s home-backup products since 2021, as of October 2026.
What a Colorado homeowner should know
- The Apex 300 gives 120V or 240V from a single 3,840 W unit and scales to 58 kWh. It is BLUETTI's main plug-in home-backup station.
- The EP-series installed batteries (EP760/EP800) carry a 10-year warranty, much longer than the 4–5 years typical of portable stations.
- No CPSC recall was found. A blog post claiming a CPSC recall of AC300 expansion batteries could not be confirmed: it gives no cpsc.gov link or recall number.
Check whether BLUETTI fits your list before you buy: the calculator shows running watts, starting watts, and hours of runtime.
Reviewed October 29, 2026 from manufacturer documents and CPSC records. Specs and terms change; confirm with the manufacturer or your installer. Colorado Peak Power is independent of BLUETTI.
