Warranty

aPower 2 and aPower S: 15 years or 60 MWh of aggregate throughput (FranklinWH describes this as more than 10,000 cycles). The capacity-retention percentage for aPower 2/S is not published in the documents reviewed. The posted FranklinWH end-user warranty still describes the first-generation aPower: 12 years or 43 MWh at 70% retention. Its conditions are purchase from an authorized reseller, installation by a FranklinWH Certified Installer, registration, and internet connection for remote updates. An unregistered or persistently offline system drops to a 4-year limited warranty. Confirm the current aPower 2/S terms with FranklinWH before publishing specifics.

Altitude

aPower 2, aPower S and aGate: up to 3,000 m (9,843 ft). No derating curve is published.

Cold weather

aPower 2 and aPower S operate from -20 C to 50 C (-4 F to 122 F), and up to 55 C (131 F) at derated (5 kW) output. A built-in heating blanket / automatic heating turns on in extreme cold. A separate charging-temperature range is not published. aGate: -20 C to 50 C. aPower 2 is IP67 and survives 3.3 ft of water for 30 minutes.

Monitoring and the app

FranklinWH App, through the aGate over Ethernet, Wi-Fi or 4G, with Self-Consumption, Time-of-Use and Emergency Backup modes. The datasheet mentions 'local & remote debugging', but app behavior without internet during an outage is not published.
